Memories have become landscapes

Middelmann explores the fine line between memory and imagination, using drawing, photos, found maps and objects to explore how our memory constructs and deconstructs in order to tell new stories about ourselves.

This series started in 2022 and is ongoing.

On paper, canvas and old maps, Middelmann, cuts apart, reassembles, draws and paints imagined and remembered landscapes.
